Cathryn King and Pat Powell each had a dream to create something beautiful that they would feel individually proud of, but as so often happens, they both got caught up in other people's dreams, goals & promises. So years later, after much honing of the skills needed to survive in the music industry, they met and discovered by chance that they had similar wishes and the same complaints. This made them think about their personal goals yet again, but this time they bounced ideas off each other about how to eradicate the complaints and face their ideals together. How do you sing the songs you've always loved and present them to a modern audience? You go back to the essence of the blues, add a little groove, and that's jazz, as someone once said.
