Baba was released by Australian based Reggae musician, Mady Bah Bless in 2010. Baba means father. The album has received positive reviews in Australia, Africa and England, with Mady emerging as a significant player in the 'new wave of reggae'. Mady has written and performed all of the songs on Baba. He writes from a place of grounded identity and positive spirit. Mady Bah Bless was born in Ougadougou, Burkina Faso, West Africa. At the age of three he moved with his mother to the Ivory Coast - the capital of African reggae. He had a rhythmic life growing up, with music and dancing his main interests. As a teenager, after seeing his first live reggae concert, featuring Ivorian reggae legend, Hamed Farris, Mady decided that his path must be reggae. Mady has attracted a stellar cast of international musicians for Baba including Simon Williams (Keyboard), Tod Yacou (Congo), Paul Jarman (Sax and Flute), Moussa Diakite (Guitar Solo), Mali (Guitar Solo), Kiri Koubaroulis (Backing Vocals) and Rory Brown (Bass).
