Andrew is proud to release his new album - Andrew Dickeson with Eric Alexander - 'Is That So?'
The album was recorded in October 2017 and features New York saxophone giant, Eric Alexander, in absolute peak form. In Andrew's estimation, this is a "huge step up" in his recorded work and a definite career highlight.
Andrew and Eric are joined by Ashley Turner on the double bass and Wayne Kelly on piano.
The repertoire re-interprets classic tunes from the Great American Songbook - including George Gershwin, Jimmy Van Heusen, Ferdinand Grofe, Rogers and Hammerstein. As well they play compositions by the unsung jazz giant Duke Pearson, Brazilian composer Roberto Menescal and an original by Eric.
Recorded by master engineer, Phil Punch, using vintage audio technology and techniques - vintage microphones - direct to 1" tape, nothing digital, no effects etc - this is a sonic masterpiece.
