Featuring 21 songs and 5 singers 'Homage' is a tribute to the golden age of Cuban music in the 1950's and 1960's. With a percussive and exciting brass section, driving saxophone 'montunos', audacious jazzy arrangements, popular Cuban rhythms, quirky lyrics, and danceable music, the album is a homage to this great era and to artists such as Benny More, Rolando Laserie, Pio Leyva and Orquesta Riverside that made it so good.

Most of the original recordings of these songs were performed live for radio broadcasts throughout Cuba, and with 'Homage' Mucho Mambo successfully emulates the live recording process as would have been done in the era.
