Smith and Bruer Band is a collaboration between Canadian guitarist Tony Smith and Australian saxophonist Jason Bruer. Tony Smith's funky guitar style and Jason Bruer's soulful sax, combines perfectly to produce an exciting and highly accessible sound.

Smith and Bruer became established on the UK scene, and gained widespread respect within London's competitive music industry. Between them they have played and recorded with a veritable Who's Who of the music business including Roy Ayres, Eric Clapton, Jocelyn Brown, Van Morrison, BB King, Jools Holland R&B Orchestra and Ray Gaskins to name but a few.

Smith and Bruer, whilst having some obvious jazz influences, is essentially a groove-based, R&B band. They have put together an original, funky set, which is sax and guitar led, and features the sounds of the Hammond organ, electric bass and drums courtesy of Richard Simmons, Phil Scragg and Adam Roman.
